From the Desk of Father Jason - September 6, 2026
Dear Saint Francis Xavier Parishioners,
This weekend’s bulletin article is an invitation.
I invite you to the Life in the Spirit Seminar that St. Francis Xavier Parish is hosting this fall.
The Life in the Spirit Seminar is an introduction to a life lived in the power of the Holy Spirit. It is eight weekly sessions with teaching, guidance, sharing, and prayer. Its goal is to lead a person into a new or deeper relationship with the Lord God. By the end of the sessions, my hope is that you will have made for the first time or renewed a deep personal commitment to Jesus Christ and an openness to the Holy Spirit and His gifts.
The seminar begins with an introduction night on Thursday, September 17, 6:30-8:30 pm at St. Francis Xavier. This session will explain the purpose and the goals of the seminar and answer any questions. Our first teaching session will be October 1 and will be on God’s Love. We will meet on Thursday nights (minus the Packer game nights) until November 19, again 6:30-8:30 pm. There is no cost, only a free will offering.
Bishop Ricken says that “the Life in the Spirit Seminar is an opportunity to grow in awareness and openness to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. I encourage every parish to regularly sponsor this seminar as an answer to Pope John Paul II’s call for a new evangelization.”
This seminar is made possible with the oversight and support from the Diocesan Charismatic Renewal Center and the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Green Bay.
Please plan to attend the introductory session in a couple of weeks. You will find a flier in this bulletin with a registration form. Fill out the registration form and bring it back to the parish office or put it in the collection box in the gathering space.
Sincerely through Jesus,
Fr. Jason
