Prayer Shawls
“He [God] has endowed them with skill to execute all types of work: engraving, embroidering, the making of variegated cloth of violet, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen thread, weaving, and all other arts and crafts.”

The Prayer Shawl ministry is a group of volunteers from St. Francis Xavier and St. Mary Parishes who come together in prayer and fellowship to knit and/or crochet shawls. The shawls are then blessed and are given to fellow parishioners so they may feel and know the prayerful support of their parish community.
Time Commitment
Prayer Shawl ministry meets at 1 pm monthly for 90 minutes, on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, September through May. They alternate locations between St. Mary and St. Francis Xavier.
Qualifications
Basic crocheting and/or knitting skills.
Willingness to learn.
Collaborative spirit.
Training
Seasoned crocheters are very willing to help new members, sharing their expertise with those willing to learn..
