We have been created.

We have been captured.

We have been rescued.

We respond in faith.

We are created by God in order to be loved by Him and love Him. We have been captured by sin and death and the Devil through Original Sin. But God did not abandon us. Through the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, humanity has been rescued. We as human beings respond to this rescue with faith in Jesus Christ through the ministry of the Catholic Church.
