Society of Saint Vincent de Paul

“And the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’”

- Matthew 25:40

Founded in 1833, the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (SVDP) is a worldwide organization of lay Catholics, following Christ’s call to serve the poor, the suffering, and the deprived. SVDP members witness God’s love by embracing all works of charity and justice.

Our SVDP conference at St. Francis Xavier and St. Mary mostly helps neighbors in the De Pere area, but we also help other parts of Brown County in areas where the local parish does not have a SVDP conference.

Time Commitment

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul meets monthly for 90 minutes at St. Mary Catholic Church following the 8:30 am Mass on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Monthly time also is needed for periodic home visits.
