Ladies Ministry
“Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled."”
- Luke 1:45
For over 100 years, the Ladies Ministry (formerly Altar Rosary Society and Christian Ladies) has been serving the parishes of St. Francis Xavier and St. Mary. The Ladies Ministry was formed for the advancement of the spiritual, intellectual, charitable, and social interests of the women of the parishes. It provides for the needs of the altar and assist in the upkeep of the churches.
Time Commitment
Meetings are monthly, September through May. First the Rosary is prayed and then followed by Mass. Ladies than gather for a light breakfast, a short business meeting, and a guest speaker.
Qualifications
All women of St. Francis Xavier and St. Mary Parishes are considered members (paid and unpaid). There is an envelope in the September packet to pay the yearly dues. These dues along with donations from serving funeral dinners, bake sales, the Christmas and Easter “Trees,” and the annual “Soup and Bread Supper” are the group’s main sources of funding.
