From the Desk of Father Jason - May 17, 2026
Dear Saint Francis Xavier Parishioners,
In this letter, I would like to cover three things that are coming up.
One. The Picnic. It is a place for fun. I highly encourage all of us to spend time at the picnic this year, May 30-31. It will be very good.
If you have not already, please sign up for one of the volunteer activities. Volunteering allows us to serve the Lord Jesus and the Parish in a very practical way.
The Picnic is our largest fundraiser for the parish. Make sure that you pick up your large raffle tickets and get them back to the parish office. I am really looking forward to my first parish picnic with all of you.
Two. I want to invite you to a Holy Hour on Tuesday May 26 after the 7:30 am Mass. This Holy Hour of prayer is for Deacon Nathan Budde as he prepares for ordination to the priesthood of Jesus Christ. Deacon Nathan Budde is a neighbor, he is a parishioner of St. Mary in Ledgeview.
What is a Holy Hour? It is a time of prayer in which Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is placed upon the altar. In includes songs, readings from the Bible, a reflection by Pope Saint John II on his Vocation to Priesthood, and Benediction. It will finish at 9 am. This is a terrific way to make a gift of prayer to the newly ordained. More men are becoming priests in our Diocese. Thank be to God!
Three. You will be receiving a letter from me. It will include a short update on where we are budget-wise as we near the end of the fiscal year on June 30, 2026. In addition to budget information, I took the time to highlight some of the important things happening at our parish. I am proud of you and so happy to be your administrator.
Sincerely through Jesus,
Fr. Jason
