From the Desk of Father Jason - January 11, 2026

Dear Saint Francis Xavier Parishioners,

This weekend we celebrate the Baptism of the Lord.

The most important moment of my life happened on December 28, 1979. I was born into grace in the waters of Baptism. It is more important than even my ordination to the Priesthood.

Why? In Baptism I became a new person, an adopted son of God. This relationship with God through Jesus Christ is the greatest gift that could have been given to me, to anyone. With it comes the opportunity for salvation.

I cannot express how important Baptism is. God wants all people to be His children. Part of our mission as Christians is to help others enter into relationship with God through faith and baptism.

Who do we know in our lives who are not baptized, adults and children? Family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers? All of them have a place here at St. Francis Xavier Parish. My hope is that our Baptismal font here will be blown open due to demand. Every person deserves to know how deeply in love the Lord God is with them.

Other News: I want to thank everyone for being so generous to the parish during the month of December in your stewardship of sharing. Your generosity was amazing! While our financial situation is not perfect yet, it is better than it was in November.

Other Other News: We will be launching our new website this weekend. It can be found at www.sfxdp.org. Please take a look at it. It will continue to be improved with time. Right now, we are using photos from around the Church. I would like to have pictures of people. If you enjoy photography and are good at it, please contact me as I could use your help, FrJason@saintsdepere.org.

Sincerely through Jesus,

Fr. Jason
